The jewelry department is an ongoing project and is proposed as a specialized high tech jewelry workplace that helps jewelry artists and designers to realize their work and bring it to life. The department is one of its kind in the city of Gothenburg specifically, and in the nordic countries in general to offer specialized tools and machineries for jewelry making in a collective space.
Our ambition is to create a hub where jewelry makers can gather to share and inspire the culture with their creations, and increase the level of their craft and of the arts through organized workshops and courses held by dedicated professionals with local and international expertise.
In the Jewellery workshop artists will have access to:
- A computer with Rhino 7 for 2D/3D drawing.
- A high-tech Wax 3D printer.
- Plaster Mixing and vacuum machine.
- Mold preparing station.
- Burning oven.
- Casting machines.
- Vulcaniser and vacuum wax injector.
- Laser soldering station.
- Station for chemical treatments such as plating, electroforming and etching.
We welcome applicants with no previous jewelry background in our community by helping them through courses to gain the expertise that qualifies them to start working and apply their ideas in real objects.

Base courses:
- Jewelry ideation & sketching
- Jewelry prototyping through wax (Hand work)
- Jewelry prototyping CAD/CAM
– CAD through 3D Rhino
– CAM though 3D Printing
- Jewelry Lost Wax Casting
- Hand finishing and cleaning of your casted objects
Extra courses:
- Photography for jewelry (Object photography, Model photography)
- Photo editing and finishing
- Web design
