Sand casting is one of the oldest and most versatile metal casting techniques. During this course you will learn how to position forms for successful casting and melt metal with a torch, and afterwards you can apply to become a member of the jewelry workshop to use the sand casting facility.

Sand casting is one of the oldest and most versatile metal casting techniques, this method is valued for its flexibility, relatively low cost, and ability to produce simple or bold forms. The material can be used are silver and aluminum. For artists and jewelers, sand casting offers a direct and expressive way of working, as the texture of the sand can imprint onto the surface, creating unique, organic finishes that cannot be easily replicated by other casting methods. During the course you will practice how to position the form to make a success cast and how to use torch to melt metal. After the course you can apply to be a member of jewelry workshop and use the sand casting facility. Course will be hold in English.
